Learning Gate field trips are environmentally focused, educational, and of course, fun! We try to take full advantage of all that Tampa and its surrounding area has to offer. From parks, such as Lithia Springs and Lettuce Lake, to trips downtown for a show at Tampa Theater, our students have experiences that will enhance their learning.

Area theme parks are amongst the sites visited by our students. Legoland, Busch Gardens, and Disney’s Epcot all offer programs that are tailored to school aged children.

Tampa’s sports teams are included as well. Middle school students had the pleasure of visiting the Bucs training facility and Amalie Arena for the Tampa Bay Lightning STEM Experience.

6th grade spends 3 days learning at Nature’s Classroom. 2nd Grade goes to Clearwater Marine Aquarium to visit with Winter and Hope. The Suncoast Youth Conservation center was visited by some of our students for a day of fishing.

7th Grade students go to Pathfinders. This is an overnight trip in which students get to experience high rope courses and tree climbing. It is a time for true bonding where students learn so much about themselves and their classmates.

8th Grade students will attend Sean Camp in the Keys. Over the course of several days, students will conduct marine research and exploration using snorkeling and scuba skills as well as other more traditional camp activities. This is a trip they never forget!

To cap off the school year, many grade levels enjoy a day at one of Florida’s many beautiful beaches. It is a Learning Gate rite of passage and the perfect way to kick off summer!
