Kids and adolescents, ages 8-18, spend an average 8 hours a day using technology. Moreover, they have been surrounded by the stimulating lights and sounds of electronics in the home since birth. Research shows the effects these “digital natives” experience on their developing brain and nervous system is significant. This class is designed to help parents learn about those effects and teach strategies to help prevent dangerous and damaging rewiring of our children.

Attend this lecture and receive 2 Parent Education hours per PARENT.  Please NO little ones.

Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age

Hillel Academy invites children and youth in grade five and older, and their parents, to participate in a dicussion of the topic and viewing of the award-winning film Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age,  free of charge, on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Light refreshments will be offered at 6 p.m. at Hillel Academy at 2020 W. Fletcher Ave. Tampa 33612, with the movie following at 6:30 p.m. next door at Congregation Beth Am, Beth Am, 2030 W. Fletcher Ave.
